Abstract
New mite species detected in Cuban province of Villa Clara later on 1998 are given. Schizotetranychus paezi Alvarado & Fréitez are informed for the first time in Cuba incurring in rice plantations. Tyrophagus perniciosus (Zachvatkin); Saxidromus sp.; Bdella ueckermanni Hernandes, Daud & Feres; Cheyletus malaccensis Oudemans; Armascirus taurus (Kramer); Cunaxa womersleyi Baker & Hoffmann; Acalitus gossypii (Banks); Glycyphagus domesticus De Geer; Neoseiulus sp.; Euseius hibisci (Chant); Raoiella indica Hirst and Allonychus braziliensis McGregor are new records for the province.
