Afectaciones directas producidas por el complejo de chinches (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) en granos de frijol común (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) y determinación de Nematospora sp.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Pentatomidae family bugs are pests that cause severe effects on legumes and grains of different legumes. Which the objective to determine the damages caused by these hemipterans in common bean seeds, a study was conducted in the Sandino vegetable garden in Remedios municipality, Villa Clara province, Cuba, between January and April 2011. Nine varieties of different colored heads were planted in experimental plots of 5m x 1,35 m randomly blocks distributed and replicated four times. The incidence of genera Nematospora yeast on bugs and the degree and rate of affectation produced by these pentatomides on grains were the parameters evaluated. From the three species of bugs identified in bean crop, only Nesara viridula (L.) carried Nematospora sp. White seed varieties showed the highest degree of impairment (severe) and the highest percentage of grains affected.
