Abstract
The stem soft-rot disease of pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus), it is a common disease that has been observed at the Halacho, Santo Domingo Maxcanu, Sinanche, Kinchil, Dzidzantun localities in Yucatan Mexico state that are producing areas of this fruit. Twenty-six samples were collected to determine the causal agent, likewise, for evaluation the effect of disease development and its deficiencies of N, P, Ca, B, Mn, Fe, Zn. Also to evaluate the infection from three clones. Of the carried out analyses, it was found that the soft-rot of pitahaya in sampled areas at least two pathogenic bacterias. Hylocereus spp., H. undatus and H. purpusii went susceptible to pathogens, being more susceptible H. undatus with 29% of N, Ca, Mg, blank, Zn, Fe, P, K and Mn deficiency showed rot damages. The increasing damage was found to Ca and N deficiency with 17.51 and 15.65% respectively.
