Main Article Content
Abstract
Pinus tropicalis Morelet, usually known as female pine is an endemic species from the western region of Cuba. It has a great economic importance due to the use of its wood. Nevertheless this species is damaged by different biological agents mainly fungi. The knowledge of the damaged caused by fungi on seeds, nursery, plantations and timber are important tools for a sustainable management and conservation of this species. This paper presents the main diseases caused by fungi in P. tropicalis in Cuba, showing 16 fungi genus: Deuteromycotina (10), Ascomycotina (1) and Basidiomycotina (5).
