Incidencia del virus mosaico de la alfalfa en semillas y plántulas de chile habanero (Capsicum chinense jacq.) en Yucatán, México
Main Article Content
Abstract
The incidence of alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV) in seeds and seedlings of habanero pepper (Capsicum chinense Jacq.) of varieties Criolla and Elsa of Yucatán, was determined by ELISA-DAS technique. The highest frequency of AMV was present in seeds embryos of both varieties. The incidence of AMV was twice as much in Elsa seedlings (80%) than that registered for Criolla (40%). AMV incidence in seedlings was directly related with the incidence registered in the seed embryos.
